‘Rastaccun‘, is our latest EP featuring 4 new explosive songs written during the pandemic. The EP will take you through a journey with a sense of void after you’ll listen to the first few notes, but as each song progresses the journey will lead to a triumphant ending.

Manatapu’s Summer 2019 European Tour: A Journey of Music and Memories

As the summer of 2019 drew to a close, our band, Manatapu, embarked on an unforgettable mini-tour across Europe. This journey was not just about sharing our music, but also about connecting with diverse audiences and soaking in the vibrant cultures of the places we visited. Here’s a recap of our whirlwind adventure.

Kicking Off in the UK

Our tour began with a bang at Stramash, the famous Scottish club in Edinburgh. The energy of the crowd was infectious, and the historic setting added a unique charm to our performance. The night was a perfect blend of high energy and heartfelt moments, setting the tone for the rest of our tour.

A Quick Hop to Malta

From the cool climes of Scotland, we flew to the sunny island of Malta for our summer opening party at Fra Ben. This gig was special for us, not just because Malta is our home base, but also because it was an opportunity to share our music with our loyal local fans. The beachside venue and the warm Maltese evening made for an unforgettable night.

The Second Leg: Italy and Beyond

Mandrea Festival, Italy

Next, we jetted off to Italy to perform at the Mandrea Festival near Lake Como. The scenic beauty of the location was matched only by the enthusiasm of the festival-goers. Playing amidst the stunning backdrop of the Italian Alps was an experience we’ll cherish forever.

Germany: Schwäbisch Gmünd, Hanf-Feld Festival, and Hof

Our journey then took us to Germany, where we performed at the Esperanza Squat in Schwäbisch Gmünd, the Reggae im Hanf-Feld Festival, and a smaller gig in Hof. Each venue had its unique charm, from the underground vibe of Esperanza to the laid-back atmosphere of Hanf-Feld and the intimate setting in Hof.

Austria and Czech Republic: Vienna and Prague

In Vienna, we played at the Weberknecht Club, and in Prague, we rocked the Cross Club. Both cities, rich in musical history and vibrant audiences, inspired us to give it our all, resulting in memorable performances that resonated with the local crowds.

Germany: Loshausen World Music Festival and Stuttgart

Returning to Germany, we performed at the Loshausen World Music Festival alongside our friends from Tribali. We concluded the second leg of our tour in Stuttgart, sharing the stage with the famous ‘Fools Garden’. These gigs highlighted the diversity and enthusiasm of the German music scene.

Back to Malta

After our European adventures, we returned to Malta for two more gigs. We played at the Farson’s Beer Festival and the Xlendi Sunset Festival. Both events were a testament to the vibrant music scene in Malta and our deep connection with our home audience.

Most of our tour was captured in the form of vlogs, allowing us to share our experiences with fans around the world. You can relive our journey by watching the vlogs on our YouTube channel.
